Instructions
  1. To a mixing bowl add 1 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup cornmeal. Next add 3 tbsp. brown sugar, 1.2 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking powder. Some may add 1 whole beaten egg. Mix together and add 1/4 cup cold water. Mix until dough is soft consistency.
  2. Divide dough into portions and form into rectangular sticks or round balls for frying
  3. In a deep frying pan or deep fryer heat oil to medium. Add festival and fry until just golden brown turning festival to do both sides.
  4. Serve with fish, jerk chicken or pork. There are ready made mixture of festival on sale that just requires water.
